With 27 years of marketing, public relations and non-profit experience, Kathryn is a consummate marketing professional. Originally from northwest Ohio, she has worked in every area of media including all facets of direct marketing and advertising.
In her previous experience working for two advertising agencies and experience at CBS News, she has been able to bring traditional and innovative marketing and public relations ideas to life with a proven track record for increased sales and brand awareness. From total marketing campaign management to individual projects, she is a well-organized professional with the experience to make each project a success.
As Director of Marketing and Public Affairs for AAA Northwest Ohio, she increased membership growth to its highest level in club history. She also handled many initiatives such as the club’s website, 32-page member magazine, email marketing, group membership program, and special events as well as being the club spokesperson.
After moving to Philadelphia, Kathryn spent several years as Director of Advertising and Publications for Neumann College where she developed new marketing materials for undergraduate and graduate recruitment, handling media relations and press releases, and was editor of the alumni magazine and the college’s annual report.
In 2012, Kathryn launched her own non-profit called Day By Day Pet Caregiver Support (DBD). Their mission was to provide compassionate support to caregivers of aging, chronic and terminally ill as well as pet loss and grief. During Kathryn also served as Chairperson of Marketing & Membership for the International Association for Animal Hospice & Palliative Care for three years before eventually taking over as their first Executive Director. After 10 years, Kathryn eventually sold her non-profit to another hospice entity.
Throughout her career, Kathryn has won several distinguished awards including four Women In Communications Crystal awards and two Advertising Club awards. Furthermore, she has mastered numerous management training and leadership courses. She is currently a member of Women in Communications, Radio & Television Society, Advertising Club of Philadelphia, and the Delaware County Press Club.
